JX7SIX came on air 1'st
July 2002. The QTH has clear takeoff in nearly all directions. Hopefully it can be used as 'an early indicator' for 'auroral driven' propagations
from N-Eu to W/VE, in addition to the more obvious Auroral-E, Sporadic-E and
F2 studies.
| CALL | FREQUENCY | AUDIO | POWER | ANTENNA | TRANSMISSION | RESPONSIBLE | STATUS |
| JX7SIX | 50.079MHz | A1A | 10W RF | GP | JX7SIX IQ50RX ...... | LA7DFA | QRT |
The antenna is broken and beacon switched off. If anyone can sponsor a new SOLID antenna I will do my best to get the beacon up & running again (depends on if there are volunteers on Jan Mayen). Just remember the heavy iceing and severe wind conditions will tear down almost any normal 6M antenna at the QTH.
